Bread culture on the rise: More and more people are rediscovering their fascination with the bread trade - whether as bakers or connoisseurs. Zurich is currently experiencing a veritable bakery boom. New micro-bakeries are opening in droves and established bakeries are increasingly using traditional recipes. The variety is increasing and the products are becoming more aromatic and digestible. Bread is turning from an everyday product into a trend product. A lively bread scene is emerging that is passionately searching for good sourdough, old grain varieties and new flavors.
Mühle Tiefenbrunnen offers a place for this scene: this is where the past, present and future of bread meet. And right in the middle of it all, bakeries and other producers swap their sales counters for market stalls to showcase their craftsmanship. Invited are bakeries that produce in their own bakery in Zurich or within a radius of 10 kilometers. No criteria apply - the only link is Zurich as a production location.
